A resilient Europe needs to eat healthily — yet food production is rarely seen as an attractive career for young people, and our food system faces new pressure from the climate crisis, population growth and fractured supply chains. HAPPEY created a Guidebook on Healthy Living and Sustainable Food Consumption in five languages, covering where our food comes from, hidden hunger, sustainable production, regional European products, nutrition and growing food at home. Outreach sessions in each partner country, group cooking events and an online session led by a chef brought the topic to young people with a touch of culinary ‘saveur’.
