Who we are
A dream our founders carried for two decades.
The Alliance for Global Development is the flourishing of a dream that our founders and board held for more than twenty years. Its name carries both of their convictions: global and development.
Luxembourg, at the crossroads of Europe, felt like the natural home for it. A strong civil society that welcomes the exchange of ideas is essential for a sustainable tomorrow — and by bringing many partners and stakeholders to the table, we make sure more voices are heard.
Today AGD builds alliances of like-minded organisations around common global causes, in Europe and with partners further afield. Because together, we are stronger.

We want our projects and programmes to have a global impact while acting locally, hand in hand with our partners and beneficiaries. We focus on environment, education and sustainability at transnational and continental level — through social projects that are inclusive, cohesive and empowering on the ground.
Our mission
Development at the heart of everything we do.
Every AGD programme is measured against the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We support the most vulnerable people in society, in Europe and abroad, by partnering with like-minded organisations and reaching the communities that most need education and empowerment.

CYBER CITIZENS — Intergenerational and Intercultural Media Education and Digital Citizenship
Intergenerational, intercultural media education: fighting fake news, democratising media access and supporting the digital transition.
HAPPEY — Heuristic Approach to Educating Youth on Hidden Hunger
A five-language guidebook, cooking sessions and outreach that help young people eat well, eat sustainably and see a future in the food sector.

Partnering for SDG17
An open invitation to organisations that want to do more, together.
Partnering for SDG17 is our outreach programme for NGOs in Luxembourg and abroad. We meet local and international actors, listen to their views and shape concrete local and cross-border projects around shared target groups — so each organisation can bring its best people to the table.
